Activist Poems Part IX

As this quarter comes to an end and I’m posting my last blog I decided to go out with a bang and post two activist poems in one post (mainly because I can’t decide which poem I like better). Check them out and tell me what you think!

Shine, Perishing Republic by Robinson Jeffers has a pessimistic tone towards achieving freedom.

The Barefoot Boy by John Greenleaf Whittier raises a question of societal roles and the oppression and conformity present in society.
